ADDITIONS AND MAJR RENOVATIONS - PART 3

  • For Additions, always get confirmation from Zoning and Department of Health.
  • If the homeowner has a septic system, you cannot have a net gain in bedrooms, so a planned addition must not have more bedrooms than the septic system allows.
  • Renovations may not need zoning approval, if there is no additional bedroom intended.
  • A good experienced general contractor has certain methods to get the new construction approved with "tricks of the trade".
